Corrections policy

Corrections policy

The Geopolitics Report is committed to accuracy. When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and transparently.

How we handle corrections

When an error is identified — whether factual, contextual, or typographical — we follow this process:

  1. Acknowledge the error within 24 hours of confirmation.
  2. Publish a correction at the bottom of the affected article with a clear description of what was wrong and what has been corrected.
  3. Update the dateModified metadata so that search engines and AI systems reflect the corrected version.
  4. Add a changelog entry to the article noting the date and nature of the correction.

Types of corrections

  • Correction: A factual error that materially affects the meaning or accuracy of the article. Corrections are noted prominently at the top or bottom of the article.
  • Update: New information added after publication that does not change the original reporting. Updates are noted with a timestamp.
  • Clarification: Wording changed to avoid ambiguity, without altering the facts reported.

What we do not change

We do not silently alter published articles. Every substantive change is documented in the article’s changelog section.

How to report an error

If you believe an article contains an error, contact us:

Please include the specific claim you believe is incorrect and, if possible, a source supporting the correct information.

Accountability

All corrections are reviewed by the editorial desk before publication. Our goal is to maintain trust through transparency — not to avoid mistakes entirely, but to handle them honestly when they occur.
